Just reading some of these threads and I see mention of lots of drugs etc that I havent heard of, so based on that, what things would you recommend somebody with young children have in their medicine cabinet.

Kids paracetamol, ibuprofen, piriton, medised, olbas oil or Karvol, ovex (for threadworms), Anthisan cream, arnica cream and cough mixture are all in my box.

savlon spray as it doesn't sting and is nice and wet for when kids fall over, arnica, rescue remedy, meltonin pads as they don't stick like plasters, tea tree oil

Thanks, think I need to go shopping.

We have the basics, but my kids are still quite small so we havent had too many accidents.

I always have karvol, calpol (or equivalent), a good range of plasters. The best thing by far though is my Emu Oil which I would never be without. It's good for cuts, bruises, bumps, burns & stings (it's anti-inflammatory). No nasty chemicals and is also excellent for nappy rash & eczema.

I also have an aloe vera plant which is useful... chop off a leaf, squeeze out gel and rub on sun burn and rashes, kids love the novelty factor and you know you're only giving them 100% pure aloe vera (I was shocked to look at the ingredients of my aloe vera gel from Holland & Barrett to discover it contained parabens).
