I was like that as a kid I had a prayer ritual every night where I had to say this prayer and name everyone I knew in it to protect them and had to name everything I wanted to protect them from such as murderers, burgalars, vampires, ghosts etc etc..it was a long prayer.

dd1 had a form of ocd when she was about 2.
She was fanatical about hand washing and even making other people wash their hands.

Ledodgy I was a bit like that too!

I had OCD as a child but bobody picked up on it and I didn't realise until recently myself. I couldn't do anything unless it was in 4's (4 steps, 4 peas etc etc- I could get very distressed otherwise) and everything had to have a pair: I could get really agitated that something (eg a pen) would be lonely on it's own. I remeber spending ages trying to work out the best ways to eat odd numbers of peas.

It's good that this is coming to ligt now in kids, and being given publicity. I don't think I do have any OCD now but my MIL does and it affects her life very badly (though she'd bnever admit it)
