The problem has been on going for sometime and was slowly getting worse went to doctor. Was passed on to the physio saw her about 3-4 times in the late summer. Had exercises which I did and things were getting so much better.

Then slowly started to get worse again went back to the physio after a long look at it told no cartilage damage, I was walking on the inside of my foot causing extra pressure on the inside of the knee hence the pain. I have now got insoles which I have been wearing for about 3 weeks plus doing some new exercises. I'm still getting pain daily as I walk and some times at rest not as bad as it was but still not good.

Any ideas what the problem is with my knee ?????

I had a knee problem but GP misdiagnosed me and said it was strained tendons round the knee cap and could take up to 18 months to repair themselves. After 3 years it had become better, but suddenly got worse, so sent to a specialist , he said it was a torn cartilage and had an MRI scan which confirmed it, and had the arthroscopy op.

I was misdiagnosed by physio too. Went private and had MRI and had torn cartilage on both sides, had the op and all fixed.

Torn cartilage is the most common cause of knee pain. A physio is not qualified to diagnose this.
