I'm having one next month, it'll start as Vaginal but could become abdominal as Uterus is large. Has anyone here had either one? How long were u in hospital? How long was recovery time any side effects? I'm getting slightly stressed.

I had mine done by laparoscopy. I felt back to normal within a week, though I was told not to do any lifting or housework for six weeks so didn't, I probably could have. I was certainly driving straight away.

It depends on exactly what you are having removed obviously, but I'd recommend it to everyone who can have theirs done like that.

Hi, I dont know it this will help anyone, but I've had a laparoscopic hysterectomy three weeks ago.
All I can say is ,I was terrified, but I'm also older than most of you guys.
But I went in , I've had everything removed, and was home the next day.
It was nothing like I expected. I was groggy and a little bit sore, but only like a bit of normal period pain.
I have been recovering well, and ye you can get bit sleepy with the pills and stuff. But I'm feeling great, I'm up and walking round more or less a week later . But generally it was nothing like I was expecting and I've hardley had any pain. I feel great , please dont be ,scared it was fine.
