Sensory Defensiveness

Anyone know much about this?
I had a quick google on possible reasons that I don't like to be touched sometimes Blush and this was the first thing that came up.

The symptoms (particularly the list on wikipedia) feel like a description of me.

I sometimes get really funny about being touched, particularly when stressed, no matter who it is (partner, Dd19mo, a stranger bumping into me in a shop), as well as being funny about certain smells that nobody else notices and touching things like smooth plastered/painted walls, paper (especially after having wet hands) and silky things, also touching bits in the washing up or getting bits on my feet make me feel sick. And some noises drive me mad, particularly chewing food or fingernails.
If someone sneezes near me it makes me feel physically sick. In fact all of these things make me feel sick a lot of the time.

I always thought I was a bit odd, but seeing a name put to it is reassuring.

Now I just need some advice on how to handle it!

Thanks anyone who has read so far.

DS is sensory sensitive, and I found this book very good.
