Ds started to be unwell yesterday afternoon with a cough and a runny nose.

At about 6 last night he was roasting hot and was sick (not sure if it was because of coughing ir not).

I gave him ibuprofen and put him to bed. He woke up a few times in the night roasting hot again and shaking like a leaf.

Anyway he has got up this morning raosting hot again and keeps saying he has the wibbly wobblys and is shaking again and saying he is cold. His hands, feet and nose are freezing.

I have given him more medicene and he doesn't seem to bad in himself apart form the shaking and temp etc.

Am not sure what to do if anything.

DD2 is nearly the same, she started being ill this morning, and I can't find the bloomin thermometer.

I don't there is anything more you can do, apart from what you are doing, just make sure that he keeps drinking fluids, and, if he starts shaking again, if he has a temp, don't cover him up.

I don't know Ds's actual temp either cos ours has just died on us.

He is whizzing round on his trike now so he must be feeling ok at the mo.

Think i'll just keep an eye on him today and take him to the docs tommorow if there is no improvment.

Hope your Dd feels better soon too.

Yeh, that sounds like a good plan, mine is dancing to Playhouse Disney LOL

If he isn't eating, you could always give him the flat isotonic lucozade, this was recommended to us by a doctor when dd1 was in hospital many many moons ago.

He has just demolished a peice of toast and drunk some water, so fingers crossed it all stays down.

Thanks for that tip though, might get some in just incase.

i'm sure you know this already, but avoid milk products until he's 24 hours clear of vomitting Smile hope both dc stay well xxx

Ds has gone downhill again a bit.

Have been giving him doses of ibuprofen and then Calpol 2 hours apart but his temp keeps returning and he is now fast asleep on the sofa.

ds had this high temp for a week and a half, the GP wanted to see him every third day to keep an eye on him. she said it was a virus and nothing to be done, just stick with calpol and nurofen. keep him cool as much as possible. just a sheet over him in bed. very little heat in house (the rest of us wore jumpers)
our ds spent almost 2 hours in a lukewarm bath one day, it really helped cool him down and woke up fine the next day.
