Either ask your GP to prescribe a sufficient amount for a decent length of time - my GP will prescribe for 3 months' supply of a medication for a long-standing condition - or (and I have done this with a previous GP) buy a pre-payment certificate for 3 months (about £30) and keep putting in a repeat prescription request every couple of days for a new tube and slowly stockpile the kind of quantity you actually need for a decent period of time.

Your GP might actually start prescribing you multiple tubes!

Have you tried balneum/balneum plus? it's what works best on my DCs' eczema.
Otherwise do what line runner suggests and put in the repeat prescription request the moment you collect the prescription - you could get 2-3/week that way.
I've never had any problem getting GPs to prescribe more than one tube though... I used to get 9 at once (oilatum, not diprobase, but same principle...)

Thanks a mill for replies. Will consider those options.skin is very expensive to maintain especially when you have eczema

I know, I have psoriasis and it's the same.

Yes I used to get it on prescription too but a few years ago I discovered Aveeno which is the best thing ever! it's oatmeal based and very soothing and moisturising. Try it! And you can get that on prescription too x

Sorry to disagree but, if your GP surgery are on the ball they will not issue prescriptions every few days. In ours prescriptions are given for 28 days supply only (even if it is long term, that is the NHS recommendation) and will not be given more frequently than every 28 days on a regular basis.

I would suggest you find if your surgery have a practice pharmacist and ask them to sort the quantity, or if you don't have a pharmacist in the surgery ask the GP to increase the quantity.
