Its getting to the point that i can see my scalp through my hair :(

Does anyone know anything about NHS wigs? or even better, have a magic way to fix my poor head?

Its caused by my psoriasis btw.

My daughter developed psoriasis at 8 years-old, and for years she had to wash her hair with a special tar shampoo. Luckily she did not lose her hair, but she did go grey early, and dyes it regularly. She does not have to use the tar shampoo anymore.
Have you used it at all?

Tried various shampoos over the years, none help at all. Using calcipotriol at the moment, which is yet to help but could take a few months. On the waiting list to see a dermatologist (amongst many other things), but its a long list.
Its not just on my scalp either btw, I'm bloody covered. Body is easier to hide though.

Looking at wigs on ebay this evening... At least with a wig it'll be easier to hide... Silver lining...? Ha :)

When I was treated for an overactive Thyroid Gland in my 20s, they overdosed me and my Thyroid went very underactive, and my hair began to thin.
I bought a beautiful blond wig, I was dark haired, and wore it for weeks and was transformed. This was many years ago.

Make sure they are lined as otherwise can be itchy
Good luck

My daughter was covered when it first appeared, and remember, as also years ago- taking her to see a specialist. I had to use a cortisone cream on her body/legs and bath her every night in this tar bath water and wash her hair with it. That was over 30 years ago, and she gets only slight break outs now mainly on her elbows, with some small areas on her head.

Good luck with your specialist
