Wet wrapping is actually a recommended treatment for eczema - so I can't see there would be any problem in applying some cream and then bandaging the affected area. At night time when I was a child my mum used to put oven gloves on me tied on with ribbons to stop me scratching! You could achive a less drastic effect with cotton gloves tied on firmly with ribbons (use wide ribbons so they don't cut into the wrist).

You could ask for tubifast at the chemist- that's what they use for wet wrapping. Apply liberal emollient, wet one bandage put over hand, then put a dry layer on top.

Alternatively try something like 50:50 very gloopy so stays on a long time.

Don't wet wrap if there's any suggestion of an infection though.
