Lump on thigh after immunisation

My 5 month old ds had his last jab about 3 weeks ago and I've just noticed that he has a small pea-sized hard lump on his thigh where the jab went. He did bleed a bit at the time, but was never in any pain with it after, nor is now.

Is this anything to worry about? Has anyone had this before? We've got baby clinic on Wednesday so I'm considering taking him there to check it out.

Mine got this from the tetanus jab and apparently it's quite usual.

MY ds3's left leg swelled up like a balloon when he had his second jab. It was very hard and bruised and stayed that way for about 4/5 weeks. It was very sore at first and i was terribly worried, i rang the surgery who said it was quite normal, i wasn't convinced though so i took him to the doctors who said that it was particularly bad but it would go down in time. I delayed his 3rd jab until it was completely gone. I think it was because the jab was more on the front of his leg than at the side. I made sure that the nurse was aware of it next time.

Dd had this with her first set of jabs. It looked so sore that I took her to the doctor, who said it was the result of a 'bad' injection rather than the actual contents of the injection. For her next set I asked the nurse to do them in her bum rather than into the thigh in the same spot and we havent had any more probs. If you are anxious I would get it checked out (I was worried that it might get infected but I am a COMPLETE worry wort .

We had this with DD and the lump was still there when she had her 3rd lot of imms. I was told it might happen as she tensed up so much that the nurse couldn't get the imms out of the syringe for ages, and not to worry. It did go down after another week or so ( so about 5 or 6 weeks in total)
