anyone found a toothbrush that works?

My 7 month old has one tooth with another coming and I'm trying to get him used to tooth-cleaning. So far have a standard baby toothbrush from Boots, but it's a right palaver getting it into his mouth, and then I can't tell if I'm actually brushing his teeth or his tongue! Needless to say he hates it!

Have tried putting toothpaste on a clean muslin and using my finger, which sort of works but I don't think it would be as effective as a toothbrush.

Anyone used the \link{https://secure.bickiepegs.co.uk/acatalog/index.html\Bickiepegs finger toothbrush}? Is it any good?

Thanks for help so far. Was wondering if he might hate the taste of toothpaste. Am using the Macleans milk teeth one which is minty. I see Bickiepegs do an apple and banana flavour (sounds disgusting to me!). Did anyone find they preferred fruity toothpaste to minty stuff?
