dd has itchy bum she is 6 and complaining all the time of it. my ds seems fine and i am fine too. do you think it could be worms, i know nothing about worms or how to treat them or anything. should i go to the dr?
if she has got worms, is it because she is not washing her hands well enough?Shock
also whats the medicine like and can i take it when i pg?
sorry i know far too many questions here but if you know anything would be helpful thankyou:)

Have you had a look? If she has worms, you can usually see them (little white wriggly things). You can get threadworms lots of ways, so it may not be that she is failing to wash her hands properly.
Don't know about taking the worm medicine while pregnant, but the pharmacist will be able to tell you.

My ds aged 2 had thread worms in summer. saw them in his pooh in the potty. Kids and dh took tablets but I'm pretty sure you can't take them when pg. I was breastfeeding and couldn't take them. The tablets were chewable and kids ate them no probs.
A friend recommended having using a torch to look at their little bots when they are asleep as they come out at night!

My ds announced yesterday he has them. Looked at his own pooh, bles him! You can get Ovex medicine from the chemist, child takes one dose now and one two weeks later. Kills off everything. HTH
