Best travel sickness medicine..stugeron didn't work and I am dreading the ferry back tomorrow

Condor fast ferry to guernsey , was horrendous and I was very sick.
Is there any industrial strength OTC option for my return tomorrow?

Best thing to do is talk to a pharmacist and see what they suggest. Did you sit outside? i know it's freezing atm but I always find that better than being inside watching the wall go up and down.

I'm horrifically boat travel sick and the only things that has ever worked are boots own travel sickness tablets, seriously they work wonders!

Ah fab! The boots ones are hyoscine so completely different tithe ones I took. Will get them tomorrow . What a relief..thanks

I used Boots own brand for car sick dds last week and they were fine. Mind you I gave dd3 a whole tablet and on reading the packet later it should have been only 1/4 . Pharmacist can advise you on what you can dose heavily with. Also have you got the wristbands? I found them helpful when v travel sick during pregnancy.

You definately need to sit outside if you can.

Was going to say boots own. They are fab for me but I get a dry mouth with them so make sure you drink lots (bizzarely also give me dry nose! :-) )

Oh I get dry nose when I have them too but only really noticed it when I flew too and just thought it was the air! Who knew eh?

Dramamine were the only thing that have ever worked for me (my travel sickness has got better as I've got older). But they do sort of knock you out and within 30 minutes I'm usually asleep. I can take a quarter of a tablet and it knocks the sickness on the head and just makes me spacey but without necessarily completely knocking me out.

Do you have to drive/operate machinery/look after small children? If not, take a few.

I used those travel bands you put around your wrist.Never failed to work

Took ginger capsules which worked brilliantly without the dozyness

got joyrides which are same as boots own (hyoscine)
joureny was a million times smoother than friday crossing so either the tablets worked a treat or a mixture of easier crossing as well

My DD use to get very travel sick ( every mode of transport
We now use travel wrist bands based on acupuncture treatment. You can buy them from boots or the post office travel section and are non medicinal. Best things we ever bought! She's never been sick while travelling since.
