Anyone else have a child that breathes very noisily? dd (30 months) is doing this at the moment. SHe had a cold weeks ago, and had a runny nose. But she has got over her cold, but still breathes heavily. I am not very worried as she doesn't seem distressed, and doesn't sound wheezy or croupy, BUT she does have other health issues (repaired heart defect) and I remember she used to breathe heavily before she had surgery, so I am a bit anxious.
Basically, what I want you to say is that your children are heavy breathers too, and tell me not to worry dd does have a doctors appt. next week anyway, so I will ask then.
If you are wondering what I am doing in front of the computer on Hogmany, my excuse is dh is working, so I am stuck at home

We cosleep and when DD has a snuffly nose it's like sleeping with a ventilator machine. Or maybe just Darth Vador. If that's any consolation to you.

ps: DD is just over 2yo, too.

Do you think it might be an allergy that is causing her runny nose? This can cause nasal congestion and snoring. Adenoid problems can also cause snoring in kiddies. Does she have problems with her ears?
If she is sleeping soundly, not distressed and has a good colour about her, I wouldn't worry. Good luck with the G.P. visit.

Thanks! I've realised my post wasn't very clear (trying to stay up too late!). She breathes heavily during the day, more heavily as the day goes on, and then snores loudly at night
scrooge darth vador, that is exactly the what we call dd soometimes
I have wondered if it is adenoids or something like that, but she doesn't have problems with her ears, apart from I do sometimes worry about her hearing.
