why would there be harm in it ? Should try and uv protective ones so as not to give a false sense of security. I couldn't keep sunglasses on mine at that age - but at just over 3 my twins are now going through a sunglasses craze.

DD1 had sunnies at that age and loved wearing them. I'm going to get DD2 some for this summer when she will be 2 y 4 mo.

tbh if you have a 2 yr old in a buggy on a sunny day then giving them the option of wearing sunglasses if they want to is a good idea. I don't like squinting in the sun so I'm sure they don't either!

dd was wildly enthisiastic about her sunglasses last year (when she was 2) and wore them as much as she could. There wasn't much point in having them for ds when he was that age as he wouldn't keep them on.
They're very useful in the car and pram. Less so if they're playing.

sunglasses are an excellent idea - babies & toddlers eyes are even more sensitive than ours.

My Dd wore baby banz when we went skiing ( she was 7mths) & it was very sunny. Couldn't get them on her for the rest of that year, so bought a shade a babe for her pushchair which was ace.

Last year she LOVED her sunglasses (age almost 2). She says, Sunny mummy, need my glasses Grin

Mind you, hubby & I are spectacle & sunglass wearers, so monkey see, monkey do !

There is evidence that uv light causes damage to the eyes so really all children should be wearing sunnies. Good habit to get into, so long as they have full uv protection. If they don't they could potentially be more harmful as the pupils dilate because of the dark lenses and more harmful uv gets in. Babybanz and Kidsbanz are good.
