Let me make this v clear, I am not suicidal. I am, however in a shocking amount of pain. My joints are killing me (suspected RA), I have a migraine and I feel sick. I just want to not hurt. Just for one day.

is what chronic PA????

It seems to effect everyone differently, you don't have to actually suffer from psorasis yourself it could just be a direct family member - must be that the gene is there IYSWIM.

Dh went from completely fine, never suffered to could hardly walk and get down the stairs in the morning in agony in a matter of weeks Sad but this should just be a flair up and with treatment it will get much better - there is a fair bit on information on the web about it.

He suffers with stiffness, pain, swollen joints, exhaustion. Joints usually affected are digits, feet, ankles, knees, wrists.

You really do need an urgent referral to rheumatology and ask if you fit the criteria for PA as the drugs they will then give you are different to pain relief ones, they are to do with the system. Dh is currently trying methotrexate.

But they stop the disease so therefore the swelling and pain etc (well they hope) most importantly they stop the damage that the PA causes to your joints.

Have you also been investigated for Ankylosing Spondylitis OP?

You poor thing :(.

BlameItOnTheCuervo · 01/10/2012 12:08

Ioh, I don't think so. Doesn't that mainly affect the spine?

Migraine has eased today, just a tightness now. But joInts are stiff and achey.

Just a thought, do you find you get worse just before you get a cold/illness, I'm sure mine does. IIRC there is a blood test for a marker for Ankylosing Spondylytis, you might have had it done already?
