Teenager and problems when eating out

Not sure if this is the right topic for this but wanted to seek thoughts.

My daughter (17) seems to have a real problem when she feels full during a meal. She also seems to get full extremely quickly , to the point where she can't physically eat anything else. She has also been sick during meals in restaurants when out with her friends as she felt she should be eating more but only wanted a bit.

At home she seems to eat enough, she is not underweight or thin , but eating smaller meals more frequently suits her better.

I'm a bit concerned about the throwing up bit though, she's not making herself sick, it just happens when she feels too full, and only when out with friends.

Any ideas about what could be causing this? I'm sure I'll get ' eating disorder' ...I think there's. more to it than that, perhaps a medical or anxiety reason why feeling full has this effect on her

I would Def get a check up just to reassure yourselves

Just to let you know that I am pretty much the same and have been all my life as far as I remember. My parents would pester me at first but then realised I just couldn't eat it all at once

I seem to be able to eat a regular/ large breakfast then spread food throughout the day. I can feel really hungry say just before dinner but once I start feel full quickly. If you were to put 3 standard meals on a plate I could eat then throughout the day but prob not in three sittings

I tend to do breakfast, which I full from til lunch. Then say someone would usually have a bagel, yogurt and some fruit for lunch, I would have bagel, then maybe hour later a yogurt, then some fruit a bit later.
Same with dinner. Small dinner, then snack in eve later. Also drink a glass of milk before bed

I'm mid twenties now, 5'4 and weight max 8 stone. Doctors have done tests etc and check each year but they are happy I am healthy

Unless I know portions in restaurant, I often have starter ( then may have space for desert if long dinner with friends as that might be an hour after). But often when out with partner we have something we can share ( such as a starter and a pizza in pizzeria, as then I can eat what I want and he eats what he does and the plates are left half full)

Hope that's vaguely helpful
