Is this migraine? Sinus? Or something else?

I have had only 2 migraines before in my life where I blackout ( fell downstairs on first and about to get in car and drive on second). Each time needed to stay out of light and sleep in dark room for up to 2 weeks.

I have also had infected sinus where I could not lift head off pillow and collapsed with that once.

I think I collapsed other day but luckily sat down and awoke 4 hrs later! I have slept every minute ds in school since and in evening I have to be up for ds I have pain in right side of head above ear and now pain in bones on lft side of face (like sinus).

Is this sinus? Or migraine? Or something else?

I would ring the health direct for advice. I found that I need to sleep with migraines & sinusitis. If you are blacking out you should get checked out.

It does sound like sinus pain, I get mine in exactly the same places and feel generally unwell and tired when they're playing up. But I've never blacked-out and the sleeping sounds excessive - get down to the GP and get it checked out.

Just a thought, hope I don't worry you. Could it be an epileptic episode of some sort? I know that after an attack you need to sleep.

Thanks mumsknott and tabbycat for the replies I think it is sinus pain as going across my facial/nasal bone the swelling/tingling sensation. I think my BP might be high/low too causing the blackout? Usually my BP is high but could be going low causing it?

I don't think it is epilepsy as only had 4 blackouts in the 18 years. Plus the sleeping is needed after having limited exposure to sunlight as starts the pain in the head/eye/face.

Today has been easier as overcast no sun.
