Help needed please?
I suffered badly with these whilst pregnant with DC1 and again and after DC2 they remained getting worse but better after DC3. I now get reoccurring pain and problems. I need to go to a GP I know but I'm embarrassed! Tmi alert now but I always have lumps on the outside and today they are worse and but bigger. Anyone able to share any experience or advice? Thanks

Ach - smileys is a variable thing; I can remember another poster making rude words from them!

Your dh sounds a real treasure! Mine has had them before; he came home with a (toy) rubber ring to try and lift my spirits and take the piss

Tapir, I've got some meds from the docs-suppositories x2-3 times a day for 6 days. If it gets any worse I need to go back but I'm already lots better tonightSmile . Wanted to just add it here in case anyone had a search in desperation like I was! thankyou for your advice!

Hey - you're welcome. It's a godawful thing to have, and I'm so glad that you've got your hands on the stuff that will make it better!

Just a tip - use the cream/ointment you already have as lube before inserting a suppository, much less painful that way.

Can anyone recommend anything for infernal itching? Not painful, just itchy!

TapirBackRider · 18/09/2012 13:43

Anusol cream (not ointment) is good for itching that comes from piles - but you can have itching by itself too.

Have a look at this link for the different causes etc
www.nhs.uk/Conditions/itchybottom/Pages/Treatment.aspx

If you do have piles then Anusol would be a good choice, if not then Eurax or Lanacane for external itching.

Hope this helps! Smile

Thanks Tapir (love the name). Skin tags rather than piles and not impressed with anusol so will try Eurax or Lanacane - thanks!
