Looking for extremely gentle core stability exercises

I'm recovering from an illness that has made me housebound for months, and starting to do very short walks and a few exercises. I get very tired after short car journeys and short journeys on a mobility scooter, and I think this might be partly due to my core muscles being too weak for handling bumps and so on. Could anyone link to some very gentle exercises too help? The ones I've found online seem to be aimed at quite fit people. I have an exercise ball but don't know whether that's a bit too advanced.

Thanks.

Here are some I use all the time and they are brilliant.

Lie down, in bed or on the floor. Focus on the point an inch below your belly button and pull the muscles in as tightly as you can. Hold for ten. Do it again, remembering to breathe while you do it, on each mental count, pull the muscles in harder. Build up to 100. Then do the same with a point an inch below that, and again, at your belly button.

Clench your bum as hard as you can, standing, sitting or lying, for a count of 100. Then do stomach and bum together. This is your core. It will align hips and lower spine and protect you from injury. If you do those exercises every day as often as you remember, you'll have great core stability. Better by far than sit ups which can put out your back, neck and stomach if not done correctly.

Just sitting on the exercise ball while you watch telly or do the ironing etc will engage your core gently because it makes you unstable

Using a small squishy ball ( like a dog ball from the pound shop) and standing with it under the arch of one of your feet while you do arm exercises with light weights will engage your core too .Remember to keep your belly button pulled in to support your back

Thanks for the advice :) racing that sounds really good, as I can just do a little to start with.
