Can we compare please?

I am happy with my dentist but feel they are ££. DH has another one who is half NHS/half private ( patients can choose to pay extra for better quality materials.)

Mine is 100% private-changed several years back.

Recently I paid £120 for a white re-filling and £46 for a clean. I have to have another clean ( hygenist) as she could not get rid of all build up in 30 mins.

is this a lot- means I've spent £200 in a month- which is rare as I usually have no work doing except clean and check up once annually.

I saw mine (private) last week for a check-up (dentist) and scale & polish (hygenist). I think the check-up was 15mins and the scale & polish was 30mins, but it was hard to tell as the dentist was running very late. Total cost £100 (I don't know how that breaks down, I'm afraid).
The dentist is generally considered in our area to be very good but also quite expensive.

Watching with interest I need a new dentist but don't have a clue what the pricing is like so can't tell if the ones I'm looking at are reasonable or not.

NHS dentist. I pay nothing for treatment as have tax credit exemption, but check ups are always free and I think a scale and polish is about £12?
