a "quick" question (with a long background!thanks for your patience!)

I've had an underactive thyroid since I was 20, 15 years ago at uni. I was just managed through the docs (though not diagnosed for a year, very messed up by antidepressants) and so have had little knowledge about my condition until the last couple of years. Plus being so young I was pretty naive about medical stuff.

Every now and then in the years since it would wobble and fluctuate and small mistakes were even made about its management eg not contacting me for a dose alteration. Everytime it wobbles I've had terrible depression as I've carried on in an extremely physically, emotionally and mentally demanding job, resulting in me managing it better the last few years such as double checking results etc. and I finally joined the BTF. In between wobbles I ve been great though for a couple of years at a time. Last year it got a lot better and I even dropped meds a little as went briefly slightly hyper.

I'm now 27 weeks pregnant and it went loopy very early on despite two early dose increases. By 13 wks tsh was 11. I almost doubled my dose from 125 to 225, but then was over suppressed and a little hyper so now dropping. I was told by the obstetrician that I seem to be very sensitive to small changes, which I've suspected for a while as it affects my cognition and mood very easily. I can be up and down and scare myself about bipolar then always work out its the thyroid. I'm also very petite and slim so have wondered if this means more sensitivity to a 25 mg drop or increase, have had to do alternate day dosing in the past to fine tune.

Anyway, trying to work out if the pregnancy loopiness was due to being on the now withdrawn teva brand until 13 weeks, and then unbeknown over dosing by the hospital. However Ive also been asked about my thyroid history about which I know very little. I've had the thyroid TPO antibody test recently during pregnancy to rule that out and it was clear (hoorah!), and I know that's the bad one for baby. I briefly asked my doc last week about my first screen in 1998 and he said there were thyroglobulin antibodies (in the 1000's, I think it was 3000 but I didn't write it down) but that he didn't know what that meant.

Does anyone know any more? The very little I've gleaned from Dr Google is that either antibody is indicative of Hashimotos but I've never thought it was that - however occasional fluctuations (often hand in hand with lots of stress - not sure which comes first!) might explain it and might explain the wobble earlier I preg? I feel I need to know both for future pregnancies and future health! Does stress / lack of stress affect autoimmune thyroid problems?

Hoping it was the teva and not my silly thyroid! Proving tricky to find out but the hospital pharmacist has helped and I'm going to do some digging - luckily I kept the packets. I'm probably overthinking it all and know that all is well now but the stress if the last 6 months plus, earlier experiences has really affected me this time emotionally and made me need to know morre

Thankyou very much in advance you lovely ladies :) x

Oh and a leeeetle bit worried that my tsh that went from 11 at 13 wks (on 175 mg, including the 100 teva brand) to 0.05 by 20 weeks (t4 20) still isn't budging up, despite now dropping 25mg twice and the t4 creeping down to 18. I worry it won't but of course god knows if pregnancy stuff is also now at play as I believe baby makes its own from 26 weeks.
