Posted in children's health, but not much traffic today. My 3 yo DD has what I always thought were pretty good teeth. Cleans regularly, drinks lots of water etc. SHe has sweets and chocolate at times but we clean soon after if we can and rinse with water if not. Teeth have always looked fine to my untrained eye, and she has had them checked at the dentist-all ok- and is due another appointment soon.
Anyway, when I looked into her mouth under a strong light (we were playing dentists) I noticed that her bottom molars looked different. It's very hard to explain, but it almost looks like patches where the enamel is thinning and looks a little translucent. It doesn't look like Pictures of typical decay that I have seen, there are no bright white flecks or brown spots. It's in the natural indentations of the molars and appears regularly over top and bottom molars. T
I showed Dp and he said he could remember his older Ds teeth being the same and that it was normal wear, but I still feel worried. I haven't done a good job of explaining it but has anyone else had this?
Not sure if this link works, but this is a pic i found online of apparently healthy teeth which look a little like DD's- hers are not as discoloured as these though. (its image 2).
