Decent deodorant for smelly BO!

I've started back at work after maternity leave and think my hormones are a bit all over the place.

I've always had a lot more sweat under my arms than most and it has always smelt too (i can smell it but other people never have) but I noticed this week it was worse. I think it is 'anxious' sweat as i haven't had sweat like this since before dd!

Anyhow, before I go and spend lots of money trying different deodorants, does anyone have any recommendations? Currently using Nivea roll on and would prefer roll on's over spray.

Mitchum roll on is amazing... On offer in Sainsburys 2 for £4.00 and normally this offer in Boots which is a bargain.

Hi all. Well I purchased some Mitchum as advised and it's fab! A lot more effective than what I'd been using.

Definitely anxiety sweating too. Had busy couple of days with meetings back to back and could feel myself getting hot and bothered but not a BO smell in sight/smell!!

Also got 2for £4 and brought the stick and roll on. Not tried the stick yet.

Thanks all.

laneb
I've never managed to put them on properly ( underarm pads) They are difficult thing.

Bumhead I haven't found it too and I can even out it on after shaving

I find I associate the smell of Mitchum with bo in the same way as I associate babypoo with scented wipes

To dammit to

I've noticed the stronger smelling sweat since having a baby!! I previously used and swore by dive but will have to give Mitchum a go!!

Women's bodies can be so weird after babies arrive!

Another Mitchum fan here. £2.75 at Tesco

It's not difficult once you get used to it. There is also instruction video on Nonchalante site and youtube you might find helpful

I can only use deodorant occasionally because my skin reacts badly but I have found that (after washing every day) plastering my armpits and surrounding areas with alcohol gel or washing with Hibiscrub instead of soap can prevent the smell because there is no bacteria to breed in the sweat and create it.

I know it's not a miracle cure for anyone who sweats heavily but it could be a second line of defence against BO.

Perspi guard it's once every 3 to 5 days, stops the wetness and odour can be used on other sweaty areas like the face, hands, feet etc. as well

I use powder fresh Mitchum.
I found Nivea, sure, etc don't help at all.
I tried triple dry, yes it does work, used every few days, but my under arms got very sore, and then found it too sore to shave .

For those who react badly to most deodorants, I use Pitrock, which is a mineral deo and it's fab. It also works for my incredibly stinky 13 yr old daughter who's hormones and sweat glands are rampaging.

Ice Guard natural crystal deodorant just to cover up the smell and not to cause irritation as most of the aluminium based deodorants do to me, Nonchalante pads to prevent sweat showing on my clothes, and showering twice a day when possible. 40's are hard work.

you do need an antiperspirant, not just a deodorant.

men's ones tend to be stronger.

The "value" tesco own-brand is effective and (as far as I can tell) unscented. It seems to be slower to dry than more expensive ones. Perhaps it is made with water not alcohol? but dries out while you are brushing your teeth, hair etc. It has no skin cream in it. I expect it is made with the same aluminium salts as everything else.
