I have a lump in (on?!) my labia and it's flipping painful! Noticed it a few days ago - how long before I take the shame and head down to my GP's? It's marble-sized, tender and making it pretty sore to sit down! I've been stressed out at work recently and am tired/run down at the moment - am assuming it's a big spot and will go away on its own but just not sure how long to leave it...

Is it squeezable?
Maybe get a cloth with hot as you can stand water on it and see will it burst?

I have has boils in various dodgy places, always hormone related and mostly when I was breastfeeding.

No I don't think so - it's under the skin so not squeezable - just painful - and the thought of cycling to work tomorrow is bringing tears to my eyes..!

doinmummy · 14/08/2012 03:38

I thought cyst too. My friend had one. They removed it and beautified her fanny at the same time. She did ask them to BTW just as a jike and the surgeon agreed Shock

doinmummy · 14/08/2012 03:38

Jike ????? Joke

DottyDot · 14/08/2012 11:47

thanks all Grin It's calming down now and seems to have grown and then shrunk as my period came and went, so hopefully it was just a hormone spot-type thing. How lovely.... Hmm

I get these from time to time - I think they are Bartholin's Cysts - very painful indeed, but if they do come to a head, they are exceedingly satisfying to squeeze - especially the huuuge one that came up whilst I was at a wedding in Hull, and got more and more painful as we drove the hundreds of miles home - to the point where I went straight to A&E when we got back. I hoped they would drain it for me, but they just gave me antibiotics, so I sqoze it when we got home - very satisfying!

    • squoze - past participle of to squeeze! Grin
