He hasn't been well for a couple of years. Was admitted to hospital afetr suddenly collapsing two years ago, previous to this he'd been fit and well.
He couldn't walk, his eyes were swollen and red, funny rash, deranged bloods, terrible constand headache, muscle pains, muscle weakness, deafness. After 6 months in hospital they decided it was a rare form of vasculitis. He's on lots of tablets and hasn't been right since. Can't walk very far, feels unwell/weak, deaf. He's only 65.
Then 6 weeks ago he came down with a funny rash on his face and they said it was shingles, he feels worse and worse and got admitted. Was in hospital a week and they had him on IV antibiotics. Then home, then admitted for a day because I called an ambulance as he was struggling for breath. Then home again.
In the 6 weeks he's been home he hasn't been able to go from his bed to the loo without help and bathroom is next to the bedroom. He just sleeps all the time. So GP sent him back to hospital.
He's waiting to have a bone marrow biolpsy done. His LDH levels in his blood are raised. I googled and it said either tissue death/damage, heart attack, stroke or leukemia. Well that's why they're doing the biopsy isn't it?
