It feels that way anyway. Next week the third lot of innoculations, this week BCG. I feel like she is being pumped full of so much stuff. She is only 17 weeks and I was tempted to cancel BCG appointment but HV made me feel sooo guilty as there is a lot of TB in this area apparently. What have the rest of you done - think my daughter will spring a leak any day with wll these needles... Sad

Oh its not so terrible! Vaccinations do far more good than harm for the sake of a needle prick for a moment and maybe a bit of feverishness its far better than them developing Meningitis C or TB.

BCG just goes under the skin anyway, not into the muscle and there are no after effects like fever etc.

I had my two done - i had to really because my mum had TB as a child.

For me, my dd's health was paramount and outweighed the guilt that I felt about turning her into a pin-cushion for a while. She didn't have the TB one because it isn't offered here, but if the area had been high risk for TB and the jab had been offered then I would certainly have given it.

It does get better - once the initial jabs have been given there's a much bigger gap before they have their boosters.

PCM, I know how you feel, but think about it this way. What if she got ill? What if she got TB? Or any of the others? They are killers, and the pain then would be much worse.

You've done the right thing, 5 mins of hurt for a lifetimes protection.
