Anyone have back pain after a back-to-back labour?

I am in a lot of pain in my lower back, exactly like when I gave birth to my daughter 10 weeks ago and she was back to back. I suffered after the birth with intense twinges of pain in my back which only lasted for a couple of seconds... I assumed it was just healing pains, and because it passed quickly, didn't do anything.

Now, the pain is constant. I went to the walk in clinic today, as I have been in agony over the weekend. I got told it was sciatica, and to take paracetamol and ibuprofen (I am not breastfeeding). I came home and cried, because I honestly thought they would give me something stronger.
I could really do with some advice on how to combat this awful pain, it is making my life miserable, especially as I am struggling to do the simplest of things :(
Hand holding is also appreciated...

Poor you. Grim to have that pain, especially when I doubt you're getting a full nights sleep or even close to it yet. My spine was bent by prolonged back to back labour and I had all manner of problems. Go back to the GP and insist of physio referral and stronger pain killers. GP's are usually pretty useless at backs, physios are the route to fixing it.

i would go and see an osteopath. it might be that something is slightly out of place.

And sit with packet of frozen peas at the base of your spine for a few mins. Wrap it in a tea towel first though.

Yes I had the same I'm afraid, horrible isn't it Sad

My GP referred me for physio which really helped in the long term, in the short term it was hot baths and deep heat, and the GP prescribed co dydramol which took the edge off.
