So do bits of your body just start taking it in turns to go wrong once you reach 35?

Upto the age of 35 I was reasonably healthy, ran a couple of times a week, cycled to work, and generally felt fine.

At 35 I started getting really tired, felt sick all the time, lost a lot of weight and was eventually diagnosed with coeliac disease. Been on a gluten free diet since then and put the weight back on (plus about two stone more Blush).

Once I stopped feeling so exhausted I started to run again but then started getting pains in my foot so I eventually got to see a physio about that. Thought I'd try walking instead of running for a bit and now have pains down the side of my knee.

Thought I'd try a bit of light swimming but then I randomly woke up last week and couldn't move my neck, which lasted a few days. And I've suddenly developed eczema which I'd never had before.

Is this just what happens, are bits of me just going to keep going wrong until they eventually drop off? its not as though I'm new to exercise and don't know what I'm doing. I'd really like to shift the extra weight but feel my body is conspiring against me!

Snap!

I'm heavier than I'd like to be, but not worryingly so. I used to be quite flexible and enjoyed being active. After having my DD1 I put my back out spectacularly after reaching in a funny angle for the baby wipes. Agony for a week. Has happened since again. Then my hip started misbehaving. I've had tests and got a dx for my back (spondilitis) but nothing for my hip.

My back has improved with exercise, but my hip gets worse. I can't sit tailor style or in any way that puts my hip out to the side without it feeling like it is dislocating. If I am bending over from the hip to pick stuff up off the floor and I twist, it goes out again. Just a nightmare. Am waiting on a physio appt.

I feel ancient and am nowhere even near being 40 yet.

I'm 30 and have been really poorly lately, I have similar problems with my hip but with rashes and the pain flares up now and again then goes to other joints so they think it's some kind of auto immune disease. I seem to spend half my time at the doctors/hospital sorting all my problems out!

I'm feeling the same I don't know if it's age I'm 37 or that I have had 4 children in less than 6 years but I'm knackered, I had SPD in all my pregnancies and it's never really gone away.

Exactly the same with me once I hit 30!
A different bit of me would be hurting every day and I'd be really stiff after being in the same position for a while. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and with meds have been fine ever since.
Go see your GP, left too long you could permanently damage your joints.

Wow you made it to 35!
Mines been packing up since 19 when I was diagnosed with RA. Everytime I get the RA to behave something else pops up (smashed knee, chest/sinus/urinary infection, TB). RA seems to finally be under control again thanks to some wonderfully toxic drugs and now my hip has decided it doesn't want to bear weight any more, apparently it's not likely to be my RA this time but waiting to find out what (going to bug doc today)
