My lovely clean DP has started to develop quite a distinctive smell. It's not sweat, it's similar to a fusty smell of washing that's been put away damp, but it's not very nice. He's always been a clean person so it's odd. I don't think he's aware of it. I've asked him if he's putting clothes away damp (we don't live together) - no. His breath's not nice either; it starts to smell about an hour or so after he's eaten. I don't want to kiss him any more :(

He hasn't changed his diet or anything but he has started doing a lot of running.

Any ideas? Also how to deal with it? It's a touchy subject!

??Not sure, but it doesn't sound very pleasant.

It could very well be that his clothes haven't been dried well - after all the weather has been bad - Ihave found that someof my clothes have a funny musty smell after trying to dry on the clothes horse and radiators.

You mention the running - maybe he is just sweating more, hence smelling 'different'? Or it could be that he has something weird like a fungal infection - I belive men can get something like athletes foot in the groin - where it is sweaty?

As for the breath? Needs a new toothbrush? Due a visit to the hygienist?

Or could be more health related.

Sorry I am not very helpful, but I can understand your concerns. I am very conscious of smells too. Ihave a teenage DS and I often have to send him back for a second shower if I suspect he has missed a bit/lot.
