Anyone got or had any of these?

I had really bad pelvic/hip pain when pregnant with DC2 nearly 3 years ago, and it's come back recently since I started running intensively.

It's at the stage now where I'm in constant pain and almost always walk with a limp / shortened stride.

Anyone been successfully treated? I'm currently having physio, but even after 5 sessions she's saying that I'm still too tight to be able to do any exercises. I'm hoping for a steroid injection to help with the pain soon.

Have you considered trying an osteopath? Physiotherapy is one way of treating it, but it doesn't work for everyone (or at least, it provides the exercises that will help stop the problem happening again, but doesn't seem to be as good at realigning everything in the first place so that you can actually do the exercises safely...) and having recently visited an osteopath (in this case, not for the same problem), I've gone from being a bit sceptical/fearful to being fully convinced that osteopathy can be highly effective in the right circumstances!

I had the same problem while I was pregnant and found that trying to teach my ds1 to climb stairs helped immensely - there was a dreadful ripping noise, an intense burning pain and then the next day, after my body had got over the shock, it was much easier to walk again, after weeks of finding it really painful! I think twisting my body and pushing my son's bottom up the stairs at the same time fortuitously realigned everything beautifully! After that, it was just a question of not letting it slip back. An osteopath or chiropractor would probably have done it in a more controlled and safe way...

I have considered osteopathy, but because I have to pay for the appointments, each new thing that's suggested (osteopathy, acupuncture, alexander technique) has an initial consultation that's not cheap.
