3 red blister-like spots on wrist - what could it be?

Ds (3) had three red blister like spots in a small group on his wrist. No sign of any others and he is generally well and full of energy. He had chicken pox last year (quite badly) and it doesn't look like that although I know it is going around at the moment. I noticed the spots mid morning when I pushed his sleeves up to wash his hands - and don't think they were there last night. He had long sleeves so think it is unlikely to be an insect bite/reaction to nettle sting. Any idea what it could be?

any metal buttons?

i have a silver charm bracelet and attached a pretty, but not silver metal/crystal bead to it, and completely forgot about my nickel allergy until I had a very attractive blistery rash all up the edge of my wrist.

dd gets the same from bra clasps and rings and watches

What would have been my suggestion as well.
I got all of those and still have to be careful what watch I wear.

Definitely no buttons near his wrist - he was wearing a long sleeved t-shirt today - the spots are on the back of his wrist about where the top of a watch face night be except he doesn't have one. Can't think of anything he might have some into contact with.

Possibly impetigo.

VERY infectious and all children need to be kept off school.
If the spots look like blisters or sart to ooze, see GP quickly.

Hand foot and mouth maybe?

Dd had it and it took ages for more blisters to appear after the first few appeared on her wrist.

Thanks for the suggestions - have looked up impetigo and it doesn't look like that. The spots do look a little similar to the spots for hand foot and mouth but there have been no other symptoms and nothing in his mouth etc. Still no more spots this morning and the 3 from yesterday are unchanged. If any more appear I might phone the GP but otherwise will wait and see.

just keep an eye on it....DW had impetigo as an adult (she was healthy and not unkempt so not at all sure how she got it!) and it started very innocuously as a spot on her forearm!
