Hairy moles....

Ahhh, the joys of getting older. 2 small children and a belly like Aires Rock wobbled sideways isn't enough. Hairy moles on the face join in to the generalised party that is my body slowly degenerating into something I barely recognise.
These have been there a while,( the moles have been there always, became hairy a couple of years ago), and I've been shaving them, trying not to feel like Princes Fiona from Shrek at the same time. Anybody had any luck with getting rid of the hair? I don't trust the magic " only available via this advert" type hair removal pen things...Is it OK to pluck them....should I just go to the GP and ask for a referal to get them removed? With 2 small kids it's way dowm my list of priorities, but I would like to know if there's anything I could do about it...

They say if moles change in any way or form you should go to the GP. They're so good at removing them these days that could be an option. My advice would be to not pluck them, from one moley person to another. That's what I've always been told by my mum!

BTW, we have a walk in clinic at one of our hospitals. Still need to get a referral from the GP, but you can then walk in at any time (on particular days). I would see your GP and ask them how it works near you. I know it's low down on your list (I've had a referral for about two years to get one taken off my back, so I can't talk! Only haven't been cos I've been pg & bf since), but changing moles should be taken as seriously as newly found lumps around the body IMO.
