hi thanks for your replies,
I'll try and see if they will give me one, I don't feel fully right, not just from the colposcopy for a while know,
i am constantly getting bad urine and kidney infections and just recently had a scan of my kidneys which I'm still waiting on the results for,,
I've gone and bought myself an aqua flex to strengthen my pelvic floor muscles but I'll have to wait a few weeks before I can begin to use it,, Sad

Poor you, its miserable constantly having that, never mind the colposcopy stuff!

They scanned my kidneys too, as I was constantly getting uti's (would get an infection as soon as i came off the antibiotics for the last one) which then went up to my kidneys. The consultant said they were fine, it's just that some women are more prone to it, and recommended I take low dose antibiotics after sex to prevent it, and in the 10 years I've been doing that I've only had it 3 times (once under extreme stress and the 2nd 2 when they changed my antibiotics due to ttc and needing to play around with the dosage). At my worst point I had poor bladder control (to the point where I used I get stressed about going somewhere unfamiliar and not knowing where the toilets were as), but I found that it gradually got better after the infections stopped - although as I haven't had children yet I don't know how that will effect it!

Please get checked out tomorrow, and make sure that your DH knows you're not feeling well so he can keep an eye on you.

X

Great news Smile

Did you get to the dr's? Hope you're feeling better!

liverLadyLass · 28/06/2012 19:23

nope couldn't get one until Monday,
so lots of tena at the ready Sad
just waiting on biopsy now, and to see what she says about my leaking,
do you think it could of been the colposcopy that's caused it?

I think that the colposcopy could have triggered a uti, and if you're prone to them then it can effect your bladder control.

When you go to the dr's why not try and push for the low dose antibiotics as a prevention and you could see how that works for you? If you've had the kidney scan they should be open to trying it. If they're reluctant you could push for a referral to a urologist - don't know how long it would take on the nhs? My mum paid for mine privately and I think it was about £70 (but that was over 10 years ago!
