Is it harder losing your tummy weight after a C-section?

Hello,
My DD is 20 months old and although I am almost back to my pre-baby weight, my tummy simply will not go back to what it was. Is this due to stomach muscle being cut or is it just me??!!

I have also found that my chest size is still bigger - which is not good for me as I was already ample!

any tips welcome!!

Yy to the tummy.

I have a shelf that only "special" undies keep under control. Hmm

It does get better, but I suspect mine won't ever totally go. Sad

after 4 c-sections I have a very unsightly belly overhang, with the tight scar stopping any chance of it being flat. However I go to Toning Tables which really help firm the muscles and thus hold the flab in. I do envy those with wash board flat tummies!

8 months post cs I also have a shelf :( and from what sil tells me it's there for life. Difference is she's a size 8 with v petite (think unnoticeable under normal clothes type shelf) and I'm a short size 14 with a big arse and just as big shelf. I need industrial strength control undies to sort this out!! Might give toning tables a go (desperate), as diet and exercise ain't helping

I had a c- section 8 years ago, i tried virtually everything and i couldn't shift that little overhang. In the end my husband paid for advanced laser lipo and now i have a flat stomach Smile. Imo no matter what kind of exercise you do, you probably wont be able to get rid of that little hand, but i might be wrong, maybe you just need determination and hard work. Sad

Ok so this is good and bad news!! Good news is that it isn't only me that has shelf type tummy - I have watched my other mummy friends go back to their normal weight and wondered why i couldn't. Bad news that it is hard/impossible to shift. well I have been working on it - so will try my best to get as flat as possible! thanks girls - great to have support for these type issues we face!!

I had sections and don't have an overhang, but obviously the scar is noticeable etc. I found with exercise, pilates etc, my tum did go back maybe to 90% what it was before (very flat basically) and I wouldn't expect it to be 100% after vag births either cos no matter what, the tummy skin gets stretched.
