Ok, so I've tried a hot water bottle. I've tried a bag of frozen peas...

Please help me stop this from hurting!

I have a very painful area in the middle of my inner left thigh. The area is hard but not hot, a very slight swelling and a faint localised pink rash (on pale skin) I first noticed it on Thursday morning, it has got progressively more painful until today when I have been struggling to walk etc. It stops hurting when I get into the right position and stay there, starts again when I move.

I first assumed it was a bruise from playing with my friend's 1yo on Wednesday - she likes to climb people. A lack of any bruise mark has now ruled that out.

Then I thought it might be a pulled muscle, but the lack of response to heat/cold seems to have ruled that out too.

So, I suspect its a thrombosis. Except I have none of the predispositions apart from pregnancy (15 weeks)

I'm fucked if I'm dragging poor dp away from the footy and myself out of my nice warm bed to spend hours in A+E with a bunch of drunks. There's no walk in service round here. I have an appointment on Monday with the midwife, who works from the local hospital, so I really just need to manage things for 36 hours.

Is there anything else it could be? And is there anything beyond rest and toe-wiggling I can do?

Thank you very much Thanks

Glad you sorted. I had a similar infection years back and left it a day or so before getting medical help... it honestly hurt about as much as childbirth. So consider this good practice Grin

Thanks, Breastmilk, if the birth feels like this I shall be a very happy mummy!

Had pleurisy a few years back. Fuck me that hurt!
