Tubigrip or a heel support may well help and see the doctor.

Ice helps and also wearing shoes with a heel of a different height to your usual. I get it every summer when wearing very flat shoes. Some people find heels make it worse.

Sympathy though - getting downstairs on your bum in the morning is a bit of a pain.

Is it worse first thing in the morning or a constant pain?

PeanutButterCupCake · 27/05/2012 21:37

I've just seen my GP and a physio for this Sad

Ice for 15 mins x3 a day
Ibuprofen gel x3 a day
Exercises given by physio.
Supportive shoes.

Off to ice Smile

Worse first thing in the morning but today and yesterday better but the pain, though duller, was constant throughout the day.
Will aim to go to the gp next week
Ice on it is good in this weather anyway!!

Definitely get to the GP and refer to physio. Unfortunately I ignored my pain and ended up with my tendon snapping and had to be in a cast for 8 weeks, have two months of physio and three months of work. Wish I did something to prevent the snap.
