Baby scald injury in hospital (sorry if already posted)

Thanks for that QofQ i just can not believe that this sort of thing has happened its appaling, i can not even begin to imagine the pain little ben went through & i truely am sorry.

Just a follow up, yes his foot has healed extremely well & I'm really pleased its not scarred. The hospital apologised & "sent a memo" to its staff (although I want all mw/s etc to be told to change their ways) Ben was born on a Tuesday & the scald happened on the Friday so is only 3 days old in the scald pic, maybe the foot looks big as its a close up?
The hospital itself and midwives were fine, & I wouldn't put off anyone else having their babies there it was just this one scbu guy that was at fault (though maybe the hospital are partially liable as they let this happen) Also, this wasn't the Guthrie, which is why it was done in hospital (though as we were in the hospital a while, he did have that done there too) it was a routine blood test for his billirubin (the blood test is done in exactly the same way for the Guthrie)

Hi, I saw this on another site, I was very shocked and for you. Am glad to hear Ben's foot has healed ok.

just to add i have the mw's signed statement saying he had gloves on & that it was 3 mins - a horrific thought to me when i sit & think how Ben must have screamed
