Thanks :) I can't remember what goes in with the referral result letter, is the NHS CSP website address given?
I think there's colposcopy info on there, overall the BSCCP website seems easier to navigate to me.

Hi, thought i'd update.
Had appointment yesterday and wasn't bad at all.
Great tip about wearing a skirt. I had two nurses chatting to me whilst having it done and really help to ditract. No pain which is good!
Took some cells for biopsy so have to wait for results!

HI 3teenhell!
Saw you were due for your colposcopy on the 11th June and so was I. Hope everything was okay for you.
I'm not going to post much on here apart to say that mine went badly but have been referred for the next procedure under a general.
I don't want to put anyone off going for the treatment and having their smears no matter how uncomfortable or embarrassing they are!
:)

sorry to hear that blue.
I don't know how mine went. They have taken photos and scrappings (i think) and sent off for biopsy, results in 4 weeks. Not sure if that is good or bad to be honest, didn't really tell me anything else.
Hope the next procedure goes ok for you

Glad you've got it over and done with, although 4 weeks seems a long time to wait for results!
At least my next appointment wont be so embarrassing because I'll be out for the count :)

3teenhell · 13/06/2012 18:14

4 weeks seems like forever, but will just have to put it out of my mind. Being asleep does seem a nice option!

How long before your next appointment?

Has anybody been referred for a colcospocy for polyps? Have one passing through my cervix. Just wondered what was involved. Will I be able to drive afterwards? Also is there any bleeding?

3teenhell · 04/07/2012 12:58

don't know if anyone is still following this, but have results not good will be back in hospital in two weeks Sad
