Have namechanged in order to conceal rampant hypochondria from MN mates.

I've had two babies and an ERPC (before them). I'm cosleeping/breastfeeding with second child and at 16 months, periods haven't yet returned. Yesterday I noticed I had a lot of cervical mucus, and being a lentil weavery, cycle-charting type, I thought, ooh, maybe I'm ovulating at long last, and had a bit of a rummage to see if I could find my cervix. (When you ovulate, it should be low, a bit open and soft.) It was all of that, but mostly I was struck by how open it is. Open, as in, I could pop a finger inside without much discomfort if I wanted to.
(I didn't.)
So after two vaginal deliveries (average sized babies, nothing untoward) and an ERPC that I know gave me a bit of scar tissue (I still have a lump of scarring on one side of the cervix), should my cervix be this baggy? It felt a bit lumpy or 'crowded' inside too (I could feel this from the opening). Can you get prolapses of the uterus that come down the cervix??
I know this is all very obsessive and so on, but does it sound worth taking myself to the nurse at the GP surgery and asking her to have a look? I haven't had a smear since just before I became pregnant with baby #2, so just over two years ago. Smears have all been normal.
