Anyone not given MMR as toddler but had pre-school one?

Really really don't want to start a debate or get into the ins and outs of why/why not but!

Just wondered if anyone is in a similar situation.

Ds1 is 3 and a half and starts school in Sept. He did not have MMR and we planned to get single. But haven't.

We are now thinking of getting the MMR.
Can we do this? Would he have to have two MMRs?

you could do and I think there are a few people who deliberately chose to only do one jab of it. dd has only had one, I don't plan on another.

yes, we did. Ds1 only had his pre-school, he was fine, but he did require a 2nd not long after. He was fine!

(slight tangent sorry) DS1 had the infant one, but at 4.5 (been in school since September) he has not yet been offered the pre-school one - should I chase it up ?

Yes, DD didn't have her first one as a toddler, but had it at the pre-school booster time (I'm not sure if it's exactly the same jab, so might be worth mentioning when you book your DS in for it). Then had her pre-school booster when DS had his first jab (about 6 months later, I think). Fine both times.

Another slight tangent - we didn't do MMR for our twins. They had singles instead. They are staring school this year, and we are considering giving the MMR as the 'booster' instead of another set of singles, so that will be the first actual combined MMR they will have had. Your doctor should be able to advise.

Am also curious about this, as DS didn't have MMR at 13 months, nor has he had the booster (he is 5 in April).

Not quite the same position but I only ever had 1 MMR jab. There was some reason that I couldn't have the rubella jab at school as a teenager, and GP gave me MMR rather than a single rubella jab.
