Dry skin on hands

HELP!!!!!! Does anyone use a hand cream that actually works??? I have really dry skin on my hands, particularly in between my fingers and even on my palms. I've tried E45 and some almond oil one from The Body Shop, but short of putting about a dessert spoonfull of it on my hands ever hour, it doesn't seem to help. Between having two children, a dog and a sink full of dishes, I end up washing my hands quite frequently during the day. I'm not a clean freak, but just end up getting wet hands a lot!!
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

I use Atrixo and marigolds when I'm washing up. I have very dry hands and like the fact it sinks in properly. A little goes a long way and you can buy it in the supermarket

Neutrogena do a very good concentrated hand cream and I have a pair of cotton gloves that I got from Tesco a few weeks ago - if you smother your hands in hand cream then put the gloves on overnight your hands will be AMAZING in the morning (Neutrogena stuff not good for that though - need something not concentrated)

I've just bought (today) Garnier SOS Repair Intensive 7 day hand cream.

Have put it on twice so far and my hands dont feel as dry as usual.

It also says that "skin is still hydrated after washing" (1 wash) but havn't washed anything yet so cant comment on that part.

It was only 1.99 in Boots, there's a pound off atm.

Aveno do a handcream and that's very good.

Badger Balm! Silly name, but works a treat- can buy it on Amazon. They do one for cracked heels too which is very good. It's a bit pricey, but worth it.

CCS Swedish Foot cream; they sell it in Boots. Slap it on at night, pop on some cotton gloves, and will really help. Not sexy tho...Smile

Try 8 hours cream from Elisabeth Arden, not the hand one, the normal one+ overnight gloves. It's sticky and a bit pricey but it WILL work. You can use it on your lips as well.

Another Neutrogena concentrated fan. I just ran out of that and have been using up the tube of Medela lanolin from bfing DD. Lansinoh would work too.

It's super thick to rub in, but really feels like its doing good things.

A fan of the nutrogena one too Smile

Oh, thank you so much for all of your replies - I think I'll give the Neutrogena one a try :)

I have terribly dry hands, as my job requires me to have them in out of water all day. I am very much in love with the nicey-but-pricey L'Occitane Shea Butter cream. Gorgeous!

Aveeno is the only thing that works on my eczema on my hands.
