Pulse 106 should I be worried?

I'm 35 weeks pregnant and at my antenatal appointment my pulse was 106. The midwife didn't mention it, I just happened to look and see. I said that it was very high and she said if didn't matter because she doesn't record that in my notes. Before I refer to Dr Google, just wondering if anyone can shed any light on this? Should I be worried? Could if be an indicator of something else?
Thank you in advance

Pulse rate rises in pregnancy due to the increased demands on your cardiovascular system. Normal pulse rate lie anywhere between 60 -100, so yours is very mimimally elevated. Pulse rates vary considerably and can be elevated by anxiety at the appointment, rushing to attend the appointment etc.
It is normal for everyone's pulse to vary throughout the day depending on what they are doing.
A solitary reading at this level is difficult to make much of. You can check your own pulse rate at your wrist over 15 seconds and multiply by 4 to get the rate over a minute. If it is persistently elevated it might be worth seeking further medical advice.

Normal is 60 - 100 AT REST - lie down for 10 mins in total calm and then take your pulse. The moment you sit up it will increase, start walking around and it will go higher.

Anxiety, pregnancy, fevor all put your heart rate up, as does digestion and opening your bowels.

Stop worrying you are fine.
