Yes its fine (and I am a dentist) but we do try to do the minimum of "invasive" treatment whilst you are pregnant if possible (but if you are in pain and therefore will be for the next few months will will get you out of trouble).

you can, but you cant get a permenant filling, I had a temp one put in when I was preg and have a shiny permenant one now.

I had visions of having a filling done "au natural" not a nice thought to say the least..hate going the dentist at the best of times

With the exemption thing, all you have to do is sign that you are exempt and the reason why. The form will then be completed and sent in stating no evidence was seen and the nhs may (if they want to) contact you for verification that you are actually exempt. But to date I've never known any of my patients been asked.

CM...thanks for that, is it ok for a tooth to be removed when pregnant? Not sure if the tooth can be rescued, but i am scared of having another taken out, last one i got bad dry socket (not nice!)

That is really useful to know cm, I had a tooth exctraction whilst preg as the dentist advised me it was safer than a ffilling (the toothe# needed on or tuther right then)
