Not sure if it's chicken pox should I keep dd home from nursery?

Had a thread yesterday as I'm not sure whether dd has chicken pox or just a reactionto her mumps vacs.

This mornign she had a couple of spots on her chin, next to her eye and on her cheek. body is clear so far. No temperarture. Just complaining that 'I'm not feeling so well'. But she uses that phrase whenever she wants something to go her way, i.e. not go to nursery, watch her program, not tidy her room etc.
Saying that she was poorly over the weekend with temp.

So should I keep her home from nursery?

Cheers

I probably would to be on the safe side. If she gets more spots you'll have a better idea if it's CP or the jab.

Can you look it up on the NHS web site? I think that chicken pox starts on the trunk of the body. Are they also meant to have yellow heads on the spots.

Hope your DD gets well soon.

I had chicken pox a couple of years ago, and the spots started out like itchy blisters filled with clear liquid that burst when I pressed or scratched them (sorry!). They then scabbed over. I seem to remember I had them on my body and in my hair, at first. (I soon had so many that I refused to let anyone see me for fear of terrifying them). If it is chicken pox, make sure you've got some calamine or eurax or something - the itching almost drove me insane!!

thanks satine will stock up on calamine just in case.

dd was scratching her head like mad yesterday evening and this morning. Won't let me have a look at her upper torso without major howling. The spots she had on her face seem to fit the dscription though... were little pin head spots yesterday and burst (guessing she scratched) and now they're tiny scabs.
