Hello to all you lovely mumsnetters,
Without knowing it, all of you lovely folk have been keeping me company and helping to keep my sanity for more than a wee while now whilst I've been suffering from chronic pelvic pain. Today I've felt compelled to jump in the mumsnet with both feet as have finally got a diagnosis and hope that by posting on here it might help some of you in the future too. Very quickly - 1 yr of CPP, bloods inc. a normal CA125 but a rising ESR, urine tests, faecal test u/sound scan and colonoscopy. CPP always only on LHS radiating to back and causing sciatica & perineal nerve pain. Colonos. first due to family history of bowel cancer showed angled bowel caused by it being stuck to something. Finally a gyne referral and finally last week surgery to remove adhesions between bowel wall and left pelvic sidewall, also adhesions to L. fallopian tube resulting in ischaemia and hence salpinectomy. I have never had previous surgery but am prone to general over healing (keloids etc.) Adhesions are likely result of a previous infection/ inflammation which I was never aware of and my bodies crazy tendancy to over heal. Such a relief after a year to finally be pain free. So thank you mumsnetters
