Funny It seems as though you're really not receiving the treatment you need Angry... but do you have diagnosis?

You posted about dilated cardiomyopathy a few weeks back and are now thinking you may have had a heart attack... do the doctors know what is wrong with you, or do you need to wait until the appointment in June for more tests? Whereas cardiomyopathy and heart attacks may produce similar symptoms, they do need very different forms of treatment.

Without knowing more, it's hard to know whether you need cardiac rehab, or whether it would help you.

It sounds as though you need more information about what might be wrong with your heart and how you might be treated. I'm sure your GP would be able to tell you what's going on.

(And do join us on the support thread which mad mentioned)

Stress It's scary, but really... sometimes coincidences just happen and lightning does unfortunately strike twice :( Just because your colleague and you both had heart attacks in the same stressful job doesn't mean that there is necessarily anything inherent within the job.

But that said, I can understand why it has shaken you. I'd have felt the same.

Breast I know - bless him he was a heart attack waiting to happen - very overweight, smoker, big drinker, bad diet no exercise etc. it's more that he is a good colleague who I have relied on and worked with for many years.

Funny you must push for treatment and proper diagnosis. If you are having difficulty contact your local PALS

Hi Stress, thank you for posting this, it is something I worry about for myself, and it is very helpful for you to post your symptoms and experience. I want to take the time to read the thread more carefully later.
Wishing you all the best for a full recovery.
