Thanks for the replies.
I'm currently sitting here with the heating on 26 degrees, 4 pairs of socks and an eiderdown jacket on!
I've had lots of strange symptoms over the last 6 months, but, again put it down to my age and the fact that I have a very physically active job.
Excessive tiredness, asleep by 9.30 most nights and napping in the day at the weekends. I think the tiredness is effecting my mood too, I'm either anxious and feeling like I can't cope with anything or so tired that everything feels too much effort and I get weepy and fractious at the thought of the jobs I've got to do. (But again, I'm a single parent, no car, so cycling and cleaning 5 hours a day for work plus studying, so put it all down to this.)
Very dry skin and hair, currently going through aqueous cream like its going out of fashion but skin still feels tight and dry after it's absorbed. My hair has snapped off to the extent that I'm now sporting a fringe having lost a good 4 inches from it and again costing me a fortune in so called miracle repair hair products, in an attempt to get some moisture in it.
I've been suffering with bad palpitations at night and at times breathlessness just climbing the stairs, but spoke with the pharmacist who advised ferrous sulphate and these seemed to have stopped them.
But what I've noticed the most, after years of having what I'd class as excessive perspiration, I seem to have stopped sweating! Great in the fact that I no longer have to worry about smelling but strange none the less!
Think it's time to visit the doctors and request some blood tests. It is all very possibly my age and lifestyle but would be good to rule out thyroid and anything else.
Thanks again for the input.
