When will this ever end? She got it when she was 2 and this is the fourth time that it has come back. Just want tea and sympathy really. I just feel so sorry for her, her energy levels are so low. It is not as bad as it has been, she has had a few days off school and came home absolutely exhausted but keeping her off for rest, doesnt make any difference and the school are pressuring me to keep her at school, because she is at an age where she can be hygienic.

Poor u and her! Surely you can't send her to school like that she will never get better. Can you ask the teacher if you can have some work to do at home with her? Hope she is feeling better soon.

I agree, surely she needs to be resting to get better, second the idea of having work sent home.

Thanks, id given up al hope of sympathy. School say they are making sure she doesnt over do it. I've given her some time off but to be honest because of her age she wont rest. She has a certain amount of energy and once it's gone it's gone. I'll see what she is like today and talk to the school. I dont know what the legalities of keeping her off are.

Well dd is home, quite pale but not too tired and has eaten something. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

I'm sure the school will work with you if you think she'd get more rest at home you could home-ed a bit. Friends who had glandular fever as adults took up to 2 years to get over it, btw. Desperately important that your DD gets her rest.

They can consider part time schooling, can be arranged by the EWO. LARSXX
