Ds is 3.9 and has always sufferred with a bit on the creases of his arms. This week it got particularly bad and he ended up with a secondary infection so it looks awful atm. GP gave hime some Dermol for his bath and a antibiotic cream and oral antib's to clear it up. He said once it was clear to avoid all soaps and irritants, and to keep his skin as moisturised as possible.

What do you use that you have found to be pretty effective? Looking for something as natural as possible.

Thanks

Aveeno, contains Wheatgerm extract, available in cream and an oil for the bath, alternitavly, put porrige oats it a tight and put them under the hot tap when running the bath. Aveeno is available on prescription but you normally have to ask for it. It did wonders for my ds's skin and has resulted in him being completely off steroids. a really good natural moisturiser (god, I should sell this stuff!)

The wee chap has eczema on the backs of his knees, I find sudocrem actually works better than E45.
Also a small amount of vit E and evening primrose capsules broken and applied directly to skin have worked for us.
Some belive that honey has natural antibac properties for infection, though I dont think its v practical for a 3 year old!!!!!

Aveeno has worked wonders for myy dd(5), she suffers with moderate to severe excema and we have tried everything (well it feels that way!)
We sometimes still have to use a steroid or Elidel but mainly aveeno and aveeno oatmeal for the bath - fantastic stuff.
